The Marvin Picollo School is wheelchair accessible with many accommodations available to make your trip run smoothly. Please notify your instructor about medical needs prior to class.

What to Bring-
Clothing:
Children should wear comfortable clothing and be ready to move. If a skirt/dress/costume is the attire of the day, please try to bring shorts or leggings to be worn underneath. Superheroes and princesses are always welcome in the gym but tripping hazards may be modified.
Climbing Gear:
Children can bring their own climbing shoes/harness or rent gear for $10/month (free rental included in evaluation class). Adult helpers in Turtle Tots classes do not need climbing shoes, but you are welcome to bring a harness if you would like to belay (manage the rope) your child on toprope days. If you would like to learn to belay, adult lessons can be arranged with BaseCamp during or after your child's class.
*No prior climbing experience is necessary to be an Adult Helper in a Turtle Tots class*
Yoga Gear:
We will take off shoes & socks during yoga class. You can choose to bring a mat for you and/or your child. Mats will also be provided at no additional cost. Bigger Squirts & Turtle Tots classes use mats for only a small portion of each class since they can create a tripping hazard.
Food:
We recommend bringing a water bottle and small snack for each child. If you are enrolled in back to back classes, they may want a snack between sessions. There is no food allowed on the climbing mats, but they are welcome to have a snack in the family zone.

A Note on Toddler/Preschool Classes
At this age kids are learning about stillness, following directions, and taking turns. We are not expecting two year olds to sit for 30 minutes and meditate :). We do practice stillness in these classes, but it is in very small doses and there is a lot of singing and movement in between. Climbing gym safety will be introduced in bite sized chunks and repeated/practiced in various ways. Do not worry if your little one is all over the place or prefers to sit back and observe. Through practice and routine they'll be following along in no time!
