2/29-3/20/16: Kicks, Footwork, Toega

Today’s Jelly (class theme) is Movin’ with Minions!  We’ll use our tiny yellow feet to practice kicks in the pool, footwork on the wall, and toega on the mat.

Swimmers will focus on kicking and experimenting with new leg movements.
  • Begin Alternating Leg kicks
  • Work toward proper Flutter Kick
  • Freestyle/Backstroke kicks with Flippers
  • Continuous kicking during breath (Roll-Overs)
  • Consistent Kick in freestyle breath
  • Breaststroke frog kicks
  • Butterfly mermaid kicks
  • Experiment with different leg movements
    while Treading Water

We will learn to use the strongest part of our foot and make a plan to use the available footholds.
  • Recognize & Plan Footholds for your climb
